After talking about Jeffrey Rogador
3 weeks ago, I am now going to tell you about one of the Filipino Fashion Designer who inspired me a lot. He’s one of my favorites, I can tell. I even dream about working for him because by that I can learn a lot of things since he is also I Benildean I think or I’m assuming that we can get a long, yes I’m dreaming too much. But hey! Why settle for less? But don’t ask for more!
Enough
about that, now I’m going to show you the works of this fashion designer that
was indeed my favorites!
First,
when I saw the first photo I got really inspired on how he was able to create
the corsette type, the details was really good and at first I didn’t know that
it was partnered with a skirt that will transform into a long gown. This was
really good well atleast for me cause I know we all have different tastes.
Actually he using that fur skirt made me love fur fabrics but still I can’t
find the perfect store where I can buy it. So if you guys know where I buy
something like that, just comment below! It will be much appreciated.
The 2nd design that I’m going to show is the
dress that he made for Julia Barretto. It as simple but really elegant. The
bead work was really good, and I didn’t even knew that the details will still
be that “wow” at the back. The dress was fully beaded which I admire the most
because I have never seen a gown that was fully beaded but still didn’t look
“too much” that it doesn’t look good anymore, he managed to make the gown look
good with all that details.
The 3rd
design that I’m going to show is design for Ms.Universe …… if he was chosen to
design that Mj Lastimosa’s going to wear he was inspired by the ati-atihan
festival. This look was a little festive but was a bit modern as well. I didn’t
know he could pull off a design as pretty as this. And I can say that this
would be pretty if he was able to make it as an actual gown.
The
4th design that I’m going to show you is the gown that he made for
Ms.Marina Benapayo. As for me yes I’m a fan of gowns. But not of a huge balloon
gowns, but this did really caught my eye because when I first saw it, it made
me remember one Disney Princess, do you guys know who’s the Disney Princess in
my mind? Well… the color of the gown gives out a big clue! BELL from beauty and
the beast! I think she attended a ball wearing this gown but I’m not really
sure. Haha!
The 5th
and last design that I’m going to show is a very simply yet elegant gown that
he made. It’s a bit revealing. Some of the girls out there may be shy to pull
this off, but hey! Just be confident like this girl on the photo and you’ll
definitely rock this gown! Going back, I really liked how he executed the
embroided bust area of this gown. It may be look to “open” but the details made
it look classy and sophisticated.
So I just showed you my top 5
favorites of this Filipino Fashion Designer. Some of you may also like his
designs and now curious who this designer is. But I know some of you already y
know who this designer is. If you’re into fashion and know some Filipino
Designers this would be really easy for you and very obvious.
The
person behind this design is none other than the great Rajo Laurel!
